Mira, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/o\/ASIN\/0389002615?tag=notizioledi0b-21\"><em>Mathematical Teasers<\/em><\/a>, Barnes and Noble 1970, pag. 279, ISBN 0389002615) che dal titolo prometteva bene. \u00c8 vero che la prefazione dice che i quizzini del libro \u00absono stati attentamente selezionati e assemblati specialmente per il piacere di chi non \u00e8 necessariamente un genio matematico o anche solo un matematico\u00bb, ma questo non vuol dire molto: un buon quizzino matematico non richiede l&#8217;uso di troppa matematica.<br \/>\nPer\u00f2 il risultato non \u00e8 stato all&#8217;altezza delle aspettative. A parte i problemi diciamo classici, Mira gioca molto con i numeri romani, e poi nell&#8217;ultima sezione del libro raccoglie i problemi tipo le prove d&#8217;intelligenza della Settimana Enigmistica: se a voi il genere piace, nessun problema, ma io roba del genere la salto a pi\u00e8 pari.<br \/>\nLa cosa che se volete \u00e8 pi\u00f9 strana \u00e8 che mi sarei aspettato che un libro di questo tipo fosse degli anni &#8217;50 e non del 1970, come in effetti \u00e8; quasi tre lustri dopo che Martin Gardner aveva iniziato a tenere la sua rubrica di giochi matematici sullo <i>Scientific American<\/i>.
