Come sempre, trovo i racconti di livello molto diverso: ecco due righe per ciascuno di essi. Non giudico gli illustratori (che hanno vinto anch&#8217;essi un concorso)<\/p>\n<p>\u25c6 Kitsune, di Devon Bohm &#8211; la storia sembra una scusa per parlare di altro. Citando dall&#8217;introduzione del racconto, \u00abWhat this story really is,\u201d Bohm says, \u201cis a feminist text that\u2019s using an extended and surreal metaphor to help the reader reflect on particular experiences within the human condition.\u00bb 2\/5<br \/>\n\u25c6 Moonlight and Funk, di Marianne Connolly &#8211; racconto carino e poetico su un tipo di amore non proprio standard. 5\/5<br \/>\n\u25c6 Death and the Taxman, di David Hankins &#8211; nella parte centrale l&#8217;autore vuole essere divertente a tutti i costi e non ci riesce; ma in generale \u00e8 un buon racconto. 4\/5<br \/>\n\u25c6 Under My Cypresses, di Jason Palmatier &#8211; credo di aver capito il punto del racconto, ma molto a fatica perch\u00e9 non \u00e8 ben sviluppato. 3\/5<br \/>\n\u25c6 Circulate, di Ron Hubbard &#8211; Un suggerimento (buono, tra l&#8217;altro) di Hubbard per quando si ha il blocco dello scrittore. 4\/5<br \/>\n\u25c6 The Unwilling Hero, di Ron Hubbard &#8211; Leggendolo, a un certo punto si capisce cosa sarebbe diventato Hubbard.  4\/5<br \/>\n\u25c6 White Elephant, di David K. Henrickson &#8211; Umoristico, ben costruito, e con un finale inaspettato. 5\/5<br \/>\n\u25c6 Piracy for Beginners, di Jennifer Johnson &#8211; Una buona vecchia space opera. 4\/5<br \/>\n\u25c6 Prioritize to Increase Your Writing, di Kristine Kathryn Rusch &#8211; Non capisco perch\u00e9 tra i racconti debbano trovarsi questi interludi (a parte ovviamente quelli di Hubbard&#8230;) &#8211; n\/a<br \/>\n\u25c6 Fire in the Hole, di WordFire, Inc. &#8211; troppi clich\u00e9 per essere interessante. 3\/5<br \/>\n\u25c6 A Trickle in History, di Elaine Cohen &#8211; come far s\u00ec che gli ultimi ebrei non siano gli ultimi, quando ammazzare Hitler sembra essere vietato dalle leggi temporali. Idea e realizzazione carine. 5\/5<br \/>\n\u25c6 The Withering Sky, di Harry Manners &#8211; buon ritmo, ma la trama non funziona. Finito di leggerlo, ti chiedi &#8220;e perch\u00e9 \u00e8 capitato tutto questo?&#8221; 3\/5<br \/>\n\u25c6 The Fall of Crodendra M, di Dustin Adams &#8211; la parte centrale \u00e8 interessante, ma inizio e fine sono deboli e non riescono a tenere la storia in piedi. Mischiare i wormhole e l&#8217;onnipresente copertura mediatica non \u00e8 stata una grande idea.  3\/5<br \/>\n\u25c6 Constant Never, di S. M. Stirling &#8211; Il finale \u00e8 interessante, ma la storia non mi ha detto nulla. 2\/5<br \/>\n\u25c6 The Children of Desolation, di Spencer Sekulin &#8211; racconto postapocalittico, parte lento ma si riprende bene. 4\/5<br \/>\n\u25c6 Timelines and Bloodlines, di Laurance Davis &#8211; buon modo, anche un po&#8217; umoristico, per gestire i paradossi temporali. 5\/5<br \/>\n\u25c6 The Last History, di Samuel Parr &#8211; In genere non amo il fantasy, ma questo mondo che ricorda un po&#8217;
