Per\u00f2 il testo (Lloyd A. Graham, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B002V9E2B6\/?tag=notizioledima-21\"><em>Ingenious Mathematical Problems and Methods<\/em><\/a>, Dover Publications 1959, pag. 254, ISBN 978-0-486-20545-8) ha un certo interesse storico-matematico, perch\u00e9 mostra quali fossero i problemi ritenuti interessanti dall&#8217;\u00e9lite tecnica statunitense degli anni 1950 e vedere la differenza con quelli odierni. Innanzitutto l&#8217;ambientazione dei problemi \u00e8 molto pi\u00f9 vicina alla vita reale, tanto che spesso occorre modificare le condizioni iniziali teoriche dei problemi stessi per ottenere la &#8220;risposta reale&#8221;. La seconda peculiarit\u00e0 che ho notato \u00e8 il pesante ricorso ad analisi matematica e trigonometria (ma anche alla geometria sintetica, per dire&#8230;) per arrivare alle soluzioni. \u00c8 strano, perch\u00e9 altri libri di quel periodo (penso per esempio a <a href=\"http:\/\/xmau.com\/notiziole\/arch\/201007\/006752.html\">Maurice Kraitchik<\/a>) erano pi\u00f9 di stile combinatorico. Vabb\u00e8, poi \u00e8 arrivato Martin Gardner :-)<br \/>\nIl libro contiene anche un gruppetto di &#8220;quickies&#8221;, pi\u00f9 simili ai problemi cui siamo abituati oggi, e una serie di nursery rhymes che a me non dicono proprio nulla, anche se alcune mi paiono parodie di filastrocche comuni inglesi.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I problemi matematici di
