\"[copertina]\" Il mercato librario \u00e8 qualcosa di incredibile. Questo libro (David J. Bodycombe, The Riddles of the Sphinx<\/em><\/a>, Penguin 2007, pag. 588, ISBN 978-0-14-311275-4) \u00e8 del 2007 e della Penguin: eppure me lo sono dovuto procurare con Abebooks, cio\u00e8 pescando tra i remainders. Non ho capito il motivo di un’accoglienza cos\u00ec fredda; l’unico appunto che gli potrei fare \u00e8 che non \u00e8 n\u00e9 carne n\u00e9 pesce, perch\u00e9 i capitoli storici sono inframmezzati da capitoli di giochi, scontentando pi\u00f9 o meno tutti; da chi come me non osa nemmeno cimentarsi in un cryptic puzzle, cio\u00e8 nelle parole crociate con definizioni in salsa britannica, a coloro a cui non potrebbe importare di meno sapere che il gioco del 15 non \u00e8 affatto una creazione di Sam Loyd, come si legge ovunque, e il grande enigmografo statunitense aveva la cattiva abitudine di appropriarsi dei giochi altrui senza citare la fonte. Dal mio punto di vista la parte per cos\u00ec dire storica, con i ritratti dei pi\u00f9 importanti “giochisti”, \u00e8 quella riuscita meglio: faccio per\u00f2 una piacvole eccezione per l’ultimo capitolo, dove viene presentata una pletora di giochi logici giapponesi almeno met\u00e0 dei quali mi era totalmente sconosciuta.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
