Questa (Ian Stewart, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/dp\/0199205906\"><em>How to Cut a Cake<\/em><\/a>, Oxford University Press 2006, pag. 231, Lst. 9.99 , ISBN 978-0-19-920590-5) \u00e8 la raccolta degli ultimi articoli da lui pubblicati, come sempre rivisti con alcuni contibuti dei lettori. Il risultato finale \u00e8 un po&#8217; disuguale: alcuni capitoli, come i due che danno il nome al libro, sono molto interessanti, mentre ad esempio la parte sul minimo numero di incroci \u00e8 un po&#8217; pesantuccia. L&#8217;altro punto che mi fa rimpiangere i vecchi libri di Martin Gardner \u00e8 che la parte delle aggiunte \u00e8 molto pi\u00f9 scarna: o la matematica ricreativa \u00e8 diventata anch&#8217;essa troppo complicata, oppure i tempi eroici sono comunque terminati. Ma in ogni caso il libro resta sicuramente piacevole (per gli anglofoni: penserete mica verr\u00e0 tradotto?)<br \/>\n<b>Aggiornamento<\/b>: (12:04) Una fonte assolutamente bene informata di cui non posso fare il nome ;-) mi ha appena comunicato che invece il libro \u00e8 gi\u00e0 stato tradotto, e uscir\u00e0 tra un mesetto nella collana Einaudi Rebus.
