\nFeynman \u00e8 un nome che dovrebbe essere relativamente noto a chiunque sia interessato alla scienza, e per la precisione alla fisica. Ma \u00e8 anche stato un oratore sempre pronto a stupire il pubblico con i suoi effetti speciali, e le sue conferenze erano scoppiettanti. Nel primo dei suoi due libri che ho ultimamente letto (Richard P. Feynman, The Pleasure of Finding Things Out<\/em><\/a>, Penguin Book 2007 [1999], pag. 270, Lst. 8.99, ISBN 978-0-141-03143-9) Jeffery Robbins raccoglie una “dozzina del fornaio” (cio\u00e8 tredici) discorsi tenuti dal Nobel presso varie sedi, in modo da dare un’idea della sua arte oratoria… e naturalmente dei suoi pensieri e delle sue idee provocatorie. Rispetto ad altre raccolte, qui si parla pi\u00f9 del suo approccio alla scienza, da quando suo padre – che aveva detto a sua madre incinta “se sar\u00e0 maschio dovr\u00e0 diventare uno scienziato” – gli insegnava ad osservare il mondo a come lui concepiva l’insegnamento, senza naturalmente riuscire mai a metterlo in pratica. La sua relazione di minoranza per il disastro del Challenger resta per\u00f2 un esempio da leggere e rileggere, anche e soprattutto in Italia.
