Infatti se <em>n<\/em> fosse tale numero, avrebbe immediatamente la propriet\u00e0 di essere &#8220;il minore tra i numeri non interessanti&#8221;, e pertanto diventare <em>ipso facto<\/em> interessante. In questo libro (David Wells, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/product\/0140261494\"><em>The Penguin Dictionary of Curious and Interesting Numbers<\/em><\/a>, Penguin 1997<sup>2<\/sup>, pag. 231, Lst 8.99, ISBN 0-14-026149-4) David Wells sceglie un approccio molto terra terra: il primo numero di cui non sa cosa dire, per la cronaca il 51, diventa contemporaneamente interessante e non interessante. A parte questo sfoggio di paradossalit\u00e0, il libro raccoglie tante notizie pi\u00f9 o meno interessanti: sapere che 50625 \u00e8 la pi\u00f9 piccola quarta potenza esprimibile come somma di cinque quarte potenze distinte non mi scalda molto il cuore, e non oso pensare cosa pu\u00f2 dire a uno che non sia appassionato di numeri. Per\u00f2 il libro \u00e8 utile come manuale di riferimento, grazie al suo comodo indice ragionato al fondo del testo che permette di trovare facilmente la spiegazione di che cosa \u00e8 ad esempio un numero di Kaprekar. Insomma, prendetelo pi\u00f9 come un&#8217;enciclopedia che come una lettura.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Questo libro potrebbe farvi odiare ancora di pi\u00f9 i
