\nNella serie dei libri di matematica che ultimamente mi sono preso, \u00e8 stato il turno di questo (Peter D. Schumer, Mathematical Journeys<\/em><\/a>, Intersciences, John Wiley & Sons 2004, pag. 199, €45.80 , ISBN 0-471-22066-3), che indubbiamente \u00e8 ben pi\u00f9 serio degli altri, e lo si vede anche dal prezzo. Purtroppo, nonostante un inizio interessante, il libro mi \u00e8 parecchio scaduto. Molti pezzi sono infatti riciclati dalle storie ormai ben note, e a volte l’autore si lancia in dimostrazioni matematiche a manetta senza mettersi di buzzo buono a “farle vedere”. Detto ci\u00f2, bisogna per\u00f2 aggiungere che ci sono degli spunti molto interessanti, e i problemi alla fine dei vari capitoli potrebbero essere utili a un professore anche liceale che volesse far fare qualcosa di diverso ai suoi allievi.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
