Anche in questo libro (Elizabeth Moon, <em>La velocit\u00e0 del buio<\/em> [The Speed of Dark], Urania Mondadori 1495 &#8211; febbraio 2005 [2003], pag. 361, \u00803.60, ISSN 977-1120-528361-51495, trad. A.M. Francavilla) il protagonista \u00e8 autistico, ma il punto di vista \u00e8 ben diverso. Innanzitutto siamo in ambito fantascientifico, e quindi un punto focale della storia \u00e8 la possibilit\u00e0 di eliminare il &#8220;comportamento deviante&#8221;, in maniera pi\u00f9 o meno liberamente scelta. Ma la parte pi\u00f9 interessante \u00e8 il modo in cui il mondo viene visto dal protagonista: una serie di schemi mentali, completamente diversa da quella di &#8220;noi normali&#8221; eppure assolutamente coerente, tanto che il lettore si chiede se vale davvero la pena di correre chiss\u00e0 quali rischi solo per far parte del resto del mondo. Ed \u00e8 proprio la parte finale ad essere quella a mio parere pi\u00f9 debole.
