Per la cronaca il mio \u00e8 3,27, persino sotto la moda e non solo sotto la media che \u00e8 3,57, nonostante il mio numero di amici sulla piattaforma zuccherberghiana non sia cos\u00ec elevato. Evidentemente i miei amici hanno pi\u00f9 amici di me :-)<br \/>\nStavolta per\u00f2 mi sono accorto dell&#8217;ultima frase: \u00abCalculating this number across billions of people and hundreds of billions of friendship connections is challenging; we use statistical techniques described below to precisely estimate distance based on de-identified, aggregate data.\u00bb Non mi lamento dello split infinitive (&#8220;to precisely estimate&#8221; anzich\u00e9 &#8220;to estimate precisely&#8221;): ci sono linguisti che affermano che la cosa si pu\u00f2 fare, e la mia conoscenza della grammatica inglese non \u00e8 certo perfetta. Non mi lamento che quel numerello sia una stima: tra l&#8217;altro spero di trovare il tempo di studiare <a href=\"\nhttps:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Flajolet\u2013Martin_algorithm\">l&#8217;algoritmo di Flajolet-Martin<\/a>, che deve essere simpatico. Quello di cui mi lamento \u00e8 il concetto di una stima <b>precisa<\/b>. Una stima pu\u00f2 essere al pi\u00f9 accurata, ma non precisa: senn\u00f2 non \u00e8 una stima.
