Grazie a Maurizio Firmani ho scoperto che ieri c’\u00e8 stato un nuovo aggiornamento di Flash Player: il quattordicesimo negli ultimi dodici mesi<\/a>, a nemmeno due settimane dall’ultimo. Volevo scrivere delle argute considerazioni sul numero di major release pubblicate in questi mesi, ma mi pare di aver capito che ne fanno una ogni tre mesi giusto per divertirsi: ma questa, essendo una minor, serve evidentemente per tappare una falla.<\/p>\n

Sono andato sul sito – non mi fido di Adobe, non voglio che mi installi roba a mia insaputa – e ho scoperto che ora non solo mi dicono Yes, install the free McAfee Security Scan Plus utility to check the status of my PC security.<\/strong>, ma anche Yes, install True Key™ by Intel Security to say goodbye to the hassle of passwords.<\/strong>: entrambi naturalmente spuntati di default, per costringere il povero utente a guardare cosa sta facendo. Chi si \u00e8 trovato McAfee SSP installato sa quanto sudore occorra per toglierlo: non ho nessuna intenzione di provare un gestore di password.<\/p>\n

L’unica cosa che mi chiedo \u00e8 perch\u00e9 esista ancora un programma per cui spunta almeno un exploit al mese, e perch\u00e9 i siti continuano a usarlo.
