{"id":11672,"date":"2015-08-08T04:00:18","date_gmt":"2015-08-08T02:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/xmau.com\/wp\/notiziole\/?p=11672"},"modified":"2015-08-08T12:34:49","modified_gmt":"2015-08-08T10:34:49","slug":"_raising-steam_-libro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/xmau.com\/notiziole\/2015\/08\/08\/_raising-steam_-libro\/","title":{"rendered":"_Raising Steam_ (libro)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A meno che sua figlia cambi idea e decida di scrivere dei sequel, questo (Terry Pratchett, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.it\/dp\/0552170526?tag=notizioledima-21\"><em>Raising Steam<\/em><\/a>, Corgi 2014 [2013], pag. 480, Lst 7,99, ISBN 978-0552170529) \u00e8 il penultimo libro della saga del Discworld, e l&#8217;ultimo della serie principale (_The Shepherd&#8217;s Crown_ sar\u00e0 su Tiffany Aching e quindi in un certo senso uno spinoff). Quello che ho notato leggendolo \u00e8 che rispetto alle precedenti prese in giro del nostro universo qui siamo molto pi\u00f9 vicini alla realt\u00e0: il racconto di quello che capita con la nascita della ferrovia potrebbe essere stata una cronaca fatta da un contemporaneo di Dickens, anche se poi la trama riprende _Snuff_ (ma anche i primissimi libri, si pensi a _Equal Rites_) e si snoda ancora di pi\u00f9 sui temi dell&#8217;uguaglianza.<br \/>\nL&#8217;altra caratteristica che si nota \u00e8 il diverso ruolo della magia rispetto ai primi libri della saga. Di magia ce n&#8217;\u00e8 eccome, ma \u00e8 pi\u00f9 nello stile del suo amico Neil Gaiman, come si pu\u00f2 vedere con Iron Girder. Dick Simnel \u00e8 un ingegnere, la sua bacchetta magica \u00e8 il regolo calcolatore e gli incantesimi sono coseni, tangenti e quadratiche. La sensazione di chiusura del ciclo si ha anche per le diverse note a pi\u00e8 di pagina che rimandano ai libri precedenti e che accennano a vari personaggi&#8230; con la stranissima ecezione di Carrot, che pure sarebbe stato logicamente il primo a dover partecipare all&#8217;avventura &#8211; rovinandola tutta, ed \u00e8 probabilmente per questo che non c&#8217;\u00e8: ma almeno dire chess\u00f2 che era in missione a Fourecks? I personaggi naturalmente evolvono: il Comandante Vimes \u00e8 una persona ben diversa da quello che avevamo visto in _Guards! Guards!_, Moist von Lipwig da imbonitore \u00e8 diventato ormai una persona piena di dubbi e certezze ben diverse dal passato, e Harry King mostra ancora pi\u00f9 il suo cuore d&#8217;oro.
